The Wine Media Conference was founded in 2008 as the Wine Bloggers Conference, one of the first niche blogging conferences in the world and certainly the first major gathering of wine bloggers.
We changed the name of the conference after the 2018 event to reflect the reality of what our attendees were already doing: communicating about wine on blogs, social media, and traditional media.
Attending wine media are not simply passionate about wine. They are energized by writing about, photographing, and videoing wine, wineries, and the people that make up the wine industry. They communicate their views to their communities via their blogs, industry magazines, and social media in an ever-growing spiral of viral conversations.
Because of this, wine media are a crucial aspect of the industry, a connection between wineries and consumers. They are often the voice of the industry. They are, by any definition, wine industry influencers.
The Wine Media Conference rotates to a new location each year and offers three benefits to its attendees:
- Outstanding content related to blogging, social media, and communications
- Networking with other wine bloggers and industry representatives
- An introduction to a new wine region and its wines each year
